  A major crisis seems to have erupted as countless tens upon tens of people
  have wound up subscribed to Internet mailing lists they do not wish to be
  on.  We reported in SoE #21 about one such case; here is yet another in this
  harrowing tale of what happens to the innocents of the world:

  Clearly Mr. Bly was thrown into shock by his inability to ascertain a clue,
  all furtherly impeded by the rather ugly fact of his being improperly
  subscribed to a mailing list of which subject matter Mr. Bly most likely has
  nary a bloody clue.

  We at Sloths over Ethiopia, saddened by such events, vow to continue to
  spread the word that innocents are finding themselves receiving as much as
  eight messages a day from mailing lists they do not care about.  Maybe this
  fiasco of modern telecommunications will stop soon.  We can only hope.
